Baluch pile rug, circa 1900
The size is 132 x 265 cm or 4 feet 4 inches x 8 feet 8 inches.
The naturally dyed pile is in almost mint condition except for very minimal brown corrosion barely visible (see photos)
There is no rot, holes, repairs, mold, dye runs, moth damage or any other problems.
The rug lies perfectly flat and has no creases.
The original kelim ends are intact. The foundation is white wool.
There are four natural colors: indigo, madder, white and aubergine (brown)
It is most unusual to find a Baluch rug of this age and of this quality in almost mint condition.
